Dr. Erin Tolson was born and raised in Stephenville, TX.
He attended Texas A&M University where he received his Bachelor’s in Biomedical Sciences in 2014 and then his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2018. Dr. Tolson practiced as a small animal clinician in the south Austin area until joining SonoVet in 2025.
Dr. Tolson is passionate about teaching; don’t be surprised if he shows you images on the screen and spends time talking about the case with you! He truly wants you to understand the pathology and help you feel like a rockstar when speaking with the owner. Ask him to come do a lunch and learn at your hospital, you’ll make his day!
Dr. Tolson is also a pilot. He serves within the Civil Air Patrol, which is a civilian auxiliary branch of the United States Air Force that performs various missions such as search and rescue, natural disaster response, and much more. His dream retirement is to become an Alaskan bush pilot.
Dr. Erin Tolson is married to Dr. Sarah Tolson (also a veterinarian within SonoVet). They have a daughter and a dog and love the outdoors.
