Dr. Laura Ziegler grew up in Albuquerque, New Mexico and completed her undergraduate requirements at the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology before attending the University of California, Davis to earn her DVM in 1994.
She worked as an associate in small animal practices in California, Delaware, Maryland, and Pennsylvania while her husband, Andre, was finishing his training in poultry pathology. She was accepted into a medical imaging residency at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, completing it in 2000. She was an assistant and associate professor at the University of Minnesota for eight years. She remained in the Twin Cities, providing telemedicine services and doing ultrasound at a local specialty practice.
Dr. Ziegler relocated to San Antonio in 2015 and is pleased to provide ultrasound services through SonoVet in addition to her telemedicine services through IDEXX.
She has a particular interest in helping general practitioners provide the highest quality service possible with the sometimes limited resources available to them.
